We believe character deserves an audience.
Every year, Ag students across Texas dedicate themselves to raising and preparing a market steer for the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. Their work begins before sunrise and ends long after the school day. Along the way, these young exhibitors in grades 3rd through 12th learn discipline, responsibility, and the value of following through on a commitment. To make it to the Junior Market Steer Auction at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo is the culmination of that effort and an opportunity to earn money that helps fund their education and future goals.
Only a limited number of steers receive the spotlight at the top of the auction. Many excellent exhibitors fall into the lower half of the sale order, where buyer demand can be unpredictable. Without additional buyers, some students may miss out on the full auction experience they worked so hard to reach. See below some of our RAA success stories.
